Islam is the ONLY religion liked by Almighty God. All the Prophets (about 125 million) preached Islam. Right from Hazrat Adam (AS) ... Abraham (AS), Issac (AS), Moses (AS) Jesus (AS) down to the last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (May peace be upon him) were the Prophets of Islam. They were the Messengers of Allah Almighty who came to show the right path to human beings.

So, there is only ONE Islam. There is no Branch of Islam. However, there appeared many sects as we find in the case of Judaism and Christianity. The last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (May peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is reported to have said: There are 72 sects in Judaism. My followers will have 73. But only ONE sect will enjoy salvation. ... The Muslims who follow me and my Companions (RAU). There was no Sect in Islam till the death of Hazrat Ali (RAU).
