Make a list of what you can reasonably prove was in the car when taken but NOT there when you got it back. For instance, if you claim to have had $10,000 in CASH in the car, have some type of reciept(bank withdrawal slip) showing you had that much cash within a reasonable time before the repo. Then call the lender and discuss it in a businesslike manner. If no response, call a local attorney for state/case specific advice. FWIW, MOST repo company would rather you remove your PP when repoed rather than go thru this hassle. Or the hassle of DISPOSING of it when you dont pick it up. Just to add you don't need an attorney to sue which is what you have to do in most cases.Sue the bank not the repo guy.
I have a welding machine on the truck they repossessed can they keep that?
IF one has truly been WRONGFULLY repossessed, one should not have a problem finding an attorney to take one's case. One is NOT likely to get rich from this case.
Same as any other repossession, CALL the LENDER. Work something out.
First option is work strictly for CASH. Cant garnishee what they cant see. Oregon laws are here and here
When a car has been repossessed the person paying the insurance should cancel it.
Something that has ended. It also means something that is not missing anything, such as a jigsaw puzzle that has been fully assembled.
If you have something that is missing, try to look everywhere that you have been with it. Think of all of the places that you were when you had this item, and just go back to them all. Hope this helps(:
I believe I know something about at least one painting by Piet Mondrian that has been missing since about 1910 or so.
If your car has been repossessed by the bank for missing payments, the quickest and most efficient way to retrieve your vehicle is to contact the bank and make your back payments. When contacting the bank about back payments see if there is a new payment plan system that you can set up with them that is more beneficial to you, to avoid having the car repossessed again.
You do not owe money for a car if it has been repossessed, so your wages can't be garnished for that reason.
