Yes and no. Their armed forces were clearly not as strong and armed than Germany's forces. Though Germany's military leaders clearly made some bad choices during WW1. But Britain had allies during WW1, as did Germany. The U.S. eventually helped Britain and it's allies take down the central powers. (Germany and it's allies) The damn Treaty of Versailles ended World War one, and would pave the way for the evil of the Nazis.
