Tinian Island of the North Mariana Islands.
i think in my opinion that thay flew from a naval base off the coast of Japan away from the dangers of the bomb
Tinian , an island in the Mariana island chain .
From Tinian Base.
Tinian island.
Tinian Island in the Marianas.
little boy was on Hiroshima and fat man was on nagasaki.
midway island Nope, all the planes (strike bomber and 2 recon bombers) in the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombing took off from and landed back on Tinian island. The strike bomber for Nagasaki (Bockscar) was so low on fuel that they thought they might have to ditch, but they did make it back ok.
The first test was July 16, 1945 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The Atomic bomb was also used to end Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 & to obliterate Nagasaki on August 9, 1945.
Those the last attacks that the US carried before Japan surrender. The first attack came in August 6, 1946 in Hiroshima and the other came 3 days after. When the Japanese saw the three planes, the alarm went off but thinking they were weather planes, the alarm was called out. At 8:15, Hiroshima's time, the bomb went off. It was President Truman who ordered the bombs.
The USS Indianapolis was a Portland-class heavy cruiser. It carried the components for the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombing. It sunk when it was attacked by a submarine.

When the bomb went off in those cities, the war finished.
Actually, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are quite far apart by water and land. The island was the plane took off was actually not in the area also. So everything were quite apart.

only 2000 planes take off
Float planes.
There are between 40000 to 50000 planes that take off each day.
As Planes Take Off - 2008 was released on: USA: 5 November 2008 (limited)
As it turned out, the first was dropped on Hiroshima, and the second on Nagasaki. When the B-29's took off from Tinian, they had one target city, and two alternates, for weather considerations. Hiroshima was an initial target city, Nagasaki was a second choice, which they did not know until they got a late weather bulletin in flight.
No because the air around the plane has pressure. If two planes take off at the same time the planes will crash. The planes might crash if they land at the same time.

The planes take-off with a catipulte but they have to be light planes nothing to heavy. Then the plane goes into full throtle flaps up then takes-off
