The first test was July 16, 1945 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The Atomic bomb was also used to end Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 & to obliterate Nagasaki on August 9, 1945.

Approximately 10 square miles of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were victim to the atomic blasts. There were larger blast zones of the Russian and one American test sites.
