Unfortunately not! The Libretto L1 comes with 128 MB RAM as standard and can be upgraded to a maximum of 256 MB RAM. This was also the same for the L2 and L3. The later Libretto L5 came with 256 MB RAM as standard and can be upgraded to a maximum of 512 MB RAM The first Libretto capable of having 1 GB of RAM was the Libretto U100 from 2005.

The Toshiba Libretto 70CT would be an extremely poor choice for attempting an upgrade to Windows XP. While technically possible, the processor is below Windows XP's official requirements.
