Yes, well so is the Summer Tanager, Vermilion Flycatcher, Iiwi, and Apapane.

The last two are highly endangered native Hawaiian birds.

(As with all "what kind of bird is it" questions, it would be most helpful to know where in the world the bird was spotted)! Here are three choices with the first seemingly best fitting your description.

The adult male Orchard Oriole is slightly smaller than a Blackbird with brick red feathers starting from mid breast, continuing down the front to the base of the tail, then encircling the rump. The head, back, wings, tail, and a "bib" on the throat are black. During summer, the Orchard Oriole is normally found anywhere east of the Mississippi, (except south Florida) and also in eastern Texas and Mexico. It is the only Oriole east of the Mississippi with an all black tail.

The adult male Rose Breasted Grosbeak is slightly bigger than a Blackbird, (Robin sized) and has a rose/red inverted triangle beginning at the top of a predominately white breast and tapering down to the belly. The head, neck and back are black and the wings are black with two white horizontal stripes on the shoulders. The tail is white underneath and outlined with black. During summer the Rose Breasted Grosbeak is found mostly in the mid and eastern U.S. and Canada.

The adult male Scarlet Tanager is slightly smaller than a Blackbird with a very bright red head, chest and back. The wings and tail are all black and there's a thin black line across each eye. These are mostly seen in the mid to north eastern U.S. and Canada during the summer and sometimes described as a "Blackwinged Redbird", as opposed to a Redwinged Blackbird!
