15mm socket will fit the bolt. Do you mean what is the length of the bolt?
I mean the length of the bolt.
How much refrigerant is needed recharge ac on a 2001 Pontiac montana
Only as needed. The serpentine belts hold up well unless there is a problem with the belt tensioner or any of the driven accessories.
Powe stering belt (aka serpentine belt) is tightened with a belt tensioner. A new tensioner is needed if the belt is loose or a new belt
34mm for 2001 non-AWD
yes mine had a really rough idle and it turns out the motor mount needed replacing
The tensioner is automatic, no adjustment needed. If you threw the serpentine belt then look for a misaligned pulley or worn tensioner wheel. If you need to move the tensioner to get the belt back on then look for a square hole in the tensioner arm. Use a breaker bar with the appropriate sized square (probably 3/4") to move the arm to get the belt back on. probably tensioner is bad like a failed bearing
there is no tension bolt ! if the belt is loose it is either a stretched belt or the tensioner is bad. the only bolt on a tensioner is the bolt that goes through center of tensioner to hold it to the engine. no adjustment. good-day ! on the tensioner there are a few marks to tell you if it needs replaced, it should be on the center mark if all is ok. if its on any other mark. replace belt or tensioner if needed. the marks are on the front side of tensioner accross from the center bolt. alt, water pump, etc, are all stationary.
Serpentine puller
I guess i dont know the answer.. Though i could do it in my sleep. Do you want the pulley pattern? if so, more info is needed. If you want to know how to get the tension loose. Turn the tensioner on the power steering.
I actually have a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue with the 3.8 and just recently changed the serpentine belt all u need is a wrench to twist the tensioner pulley to release tension to slide the belt on to the pulleys other than that no equipment is needed if u have following questions send me an email to mr.blique@yahoo.com i hope this is the answer u were looking for
No. The hardness of serpentine is 3-4.5, whereas a hardness of at least 7 is needed to scratch glass.
When you get your new belt, ask the sales people to print the diagram for you. Most of the stores have access (such as AutoZone). I just rerplaced mine with my son and it wasn't bad at all (end at the belt tensioner). Other than that, have fun!
