Matter & Substances are related because a substance is a matter IGuess ... of matter is not a substance because a matter may include many many substances.
ALL substances are matter.
Energy and matter are both conserved during a chemical reaction, but the energy may change form, for example, from chemical potential energy to evolved heat. The matter also forms a new type of chemical bond and/or breaks an old type of chemical bond.
- One basic division is into pure substances (elements and compounds) and mixed substances (mixtures, solutions, alloys). Mixed substances do not contain molecules that are all the same.- Another way to classify matter is:organic (from living things) and inorganic(natural elements and compounds).
A flame is not a substance like water or air. Rather, it is the result of heat and light energy so you can't really say what state of matter it is in. Think of it like this; asking what state of matter a flame is in would be like asking what state of matter light or heat are in. They are forms of energy, not substances.

Energy creates heat
Heat energy causes matter to melt. The energy breaks bonds in the matter making looser constructions of the material.
decomposer. i came on here looking for the answer but i found it somewhere else and decided to answer this :) its 100% true
an ecosystem
In living systems, energy flows, and matter cycles. Hope this helps!
All fungi do that
Yes. Viruses are made of the same substances that living organisms are.
No it does not matter
No, matter is the general term for substances or 'stuff'. Energy is the ability to cause change.
Matter refers to solid substances such as plants, animals, and nutrients. Energy refers to the chemical process that produces the fuels needed by living things to survive. Flow means looking at how these two things change around in the food chain.
