The original Spanish Horse, the PRE - Pura Raza Española - originates in Spain. It is a foundation horse in many breeds across Europe and the rest of the world, and, has had an influence on some horses in America. Andalusian or Lippizzaner. Andalusians are typically considered the Spanish version of the Portuguese Lusitano. The Spanish and Portuguese breeders used to share studbooks, so there is a lot of interbreeding between the Andalusians and Lusitanos farther back in their bloodlines.
