It all depends on where it is located. If it is somewhere where hair grows, try not to shave that area, as alot of boils are the result of an ingrown hair. Keep any area with a boil clean, and to prevent it from getting worse, at the first sign of it, even a tiny lump, be sure to slather it with Neosporin. It will be gone in a day or two. Try not to have anything rubbing on it, or against it, if at all possible.
