It is sad that a partner would manipulate you with death to keep you there. They need counceling. Perhaps you should suggest you both go (even though you don't want to work on the relationship) it is a way for you to get your partner to go. They need to visit www.jaredstory.com, it is a suicide prevention site. It wouldn't hurt if you visited as well, you can learn the true signs of depression and if your partner is really at risk or using it to keep you around. email the webmaster if you like, she answers questions. Stop telling him you're going to leave if you're not going to but maybe you can tell someone else about it like a professional and see what they say. I think you should definitely talk to someone about it.
