I would need a little more information about your problem. Did the check engine light come on? After it shut down did it start back up? How were you driving when this occured?
Pour a lot of water in the gas tank. The cars engine will shut down and the engine will have to be drained in order for it to work again. It's a good mischief prank. Don't do it tho because it's not cool ;)

Yes! I got a 1994 MX6 and it would shut down while driving when your oil is low.
Had to disconnet my radio it was shorting out the engine.
