What can cause the gauges and radio to short circuit in a 95 Chevy s-10 the fuses are fine. but the gauges go crazy and the radio keeps shutting off?

the same thing happened to my 95 Chevy S-10. its was the ingition switch that had a glitch in it. only happened once in a while. all gagues and lights on dash would flicker. took apart the steering colum and replaced the switch and key tumbler
