You don't want to just stop taking Ativan 2mg 3 times a day, Dilaudid 8mg 5 times a day, and Nucynta 100 mg 5 times a day without talking to your doctor. You will need to slowing stop taking the drugs.
My Doctor has had me on Tramadol and Ativan for about a year now. I have had no problems so far. I am on 50 mg. of Tramadol taken up to 4 times a day if needed, and 1 mg. of Ativan taken up to 4 times a day if needed.
Nucynta although synthetic and has a half life of 4 hours will show up as a class 2 narcotic in a urine test. However don't count the half life in terms of it not being detected.Multiply the half life times 4 and then it will be 99.9% gone from your body.So at 50mg that would be roughly 7.4 days
hydromorphone is 6-8 times stronger than morphine
I'm not a medical professional, but I have taken Ativan and hydrocodone together many times as they were prescribed to me. My psychiatrist prescribed the Ativan to me and knew I was taking hydrocodone for recent surgeries. I rarely take the two at the same time, but when I have in the past the most I ever took was 20mg of the hydrocodone with 2mg of Ativan. Hope this helps!
The pharmicyst said no, but there is a codine allergy alert on the incert. I'm alergic to codine and need to know for sure. CORRECTION: There is NO codeine in Dilaudid, both are opiates, but Dilaudid is hydromorphone, while codeine is, well codeine. Dilaudid is a fully synthetic opiate, while codeine is a naturally occuring opiate from the Poppy plant.
Ativan is in the same family as Valium. They are both Benzodiazepines. Ativan is about 10 times stronger in terms of DOSE than Valium. They are two different chemicals but have similar effects. Some make you sleepier, and some work more at anxiety. I think Ativan is better than Valium at reducing anxiety but Valium makes you sleepier. But they are both similar so you probably won't notice the difference.
180mg is kinda pushin' it, is right on the border of overdose for someone that has a high tolerance.
The word "better" is very vague and patients can react very differently to medications. However, there are a number of advantages to selecting Dilaudid (AKA Hydromorphne) over Morphine. Both drugs have similar effects as hydrocodone and Oxyconde. Dilaudid is estimated to be 3-4 times stronger than Morphine therefore the amount of drug prescribed is usually significantly less. Dilaudid has a lower risk of dependency and typically causes less nausea than Morphine.
Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) is roughly ten times more potent than morphine sulfate. The Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) worked MUCH better for me for pain than morphine did but the "narcotic effect" with dilaudid is very intense so be careful doing stuff like driving until you know how it affects you if you get that prescribed to you.Knowledge based on: 10 years of pain medications...a lot of different ones!
three times.
Times of Lore happened in 1988.
Dilaudid would be more potent than Norco. Dilaudid is roughly 5-7x more potent than morphine where as hydrocodone is .6 the potency of 10mg of morphine. So the hydrocodone would be much less potent as hydromorphone (dilaudid) or morphine.
