um first they may whine a bit but you know... that hurts and second that depends on how hard it was steped on if it was very hard it could be very bad maybe(hopefully not) life threatining but if it wasnt to hard than the puppy should be fine!(but if its a younger puppy the chance is higher that it will be serious)
