Jehovah is the Creator of the whole Universe. To him belongs the earth. Jehovah has never approved of the dividing of the earth into different ownerships. Jehovah did not draw up the borders. In fact, according to Jeremiah 10:23 -- it does not belong to humans to govern other people. We are not rulership material. We are dependent upon Jehovah to govern us with his righteous requirements. Jehovah God has promised that his Kingdom by Christ Jesus will 'crush' all the eartly Kingdoms. They will be blown away like chaff; and only Christ's Kingdom will remain to rule the earth. At that time, the meek ones on earth, will receive their inheritance. They shall 'inherit the earth', not heaven. Jehovah God, has his people on earth, proclaiming these things. They go from house to house in every country where they live. They try to help others to learn what God requires; and then to help them abide by those requirements. They are known as Jehovah's Witnesses. There is only one group on earth who are known by that designation.

Persons who study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses and who realize that they want to serve the true good, take a number of steps to do that. They would first, repent of their sins. They would do all they can to turn away from things that Jehovah disapproves of. The next thing that they would do would be to dedicate their life to doing Jehovah's will. Come what may. This is known as DEDICATION. There would then be some further steps leading up to baptism. Dedication is a private and personal step taken by them. You can receive the Watchtower Library 2008 cd-rom from your local Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses but you must be a baptized witness of Jehovah to actually receive one from the congregation. Also, I would'nt advice a download because that would be copyright infringement.
Who becomes a Jehovah's Witness?
Anyone who studies the Bible with a qualified Witness until they become very familiar with scriptures to help explain questions that frequently arise in the ministry. First, one becomes an unbaptized publisher and then they answer a series of questions to test their knowledge of the Bible. Next, they dedicate their lives to Jehovah God and accept Christ Jesus as Savior and King, by Jehovah's arrangement. They then symbolize that dedication by water baptism at the next convention or assembly in their region. You can become one of Jehovah's Witnesses by these means, but it is up to the individual Witness to "continue in the things learned" to remain a Witness in good standing. Many have joined and left for no apparent reason. Perhaps they were discouraged when the person that studied with them decided to help others in need of the Truth or they had the misconception that baptism was all that was required to become a Witness. Anyone who becomes a baptized Witness should always live to please Jehovah and not a person, or persons.
