If he hasn't apologized and isn't sinking to his knees crying and begging you to forgive him... well he is a jerk. If he is stalking off with a triumphant expression... he's also a jerk. If he is continuing to make you bleed... you need help. If the bleeding is severe, put pressure on it and call 911.
CALL 911 and both the police (or sheriff depending on where you live) and EMS will respond. If there is visible injury (as in bleeding,) the husband WILL be arrested. This is Domestic Violence 101. The circle must be broken or it will continue. (22 years in law enforcement)
