Pregnant or not you're still a minor, so as long as your parents have custody they get to decide where you live. The 16 year old pregnant girl and the 18 year old father should listen to the parents. The 18 year old father can still take care of them without them living together. I think that if that's what the 16 year old and the 18 year old wants to do they should take their time. There is no rush. The 18 year old father should look for a job first. Then after the baby is born the 16 year old should get a job too. After that they both should see if their money together could hold down a apartment, light, gas(if needed), phone, and any other expenses. All of those things shouln't be looked at until they graduate from high school. The 16 year old mother still has 2 years left of school and she should spend them at home.
As long as your parents say it is okay, it is legal. Otherwise you need to wait until you are 18 to move out of your parents' house.
if a court order exist.
Yes child support is paid even when parents don't live together.
No. The fact that you are pregnant does not impart any special freedom. You are a minor and your parents are still legally responsible for you and your actions.
sure why not? im sure your parents would let you as it means you can all be together.
They did not live together because their parents did not want them together
No. Being pregnant/having a child does not emancipate a minor, so you are still subject to your parents rules and authority. And by the way, the age of sexual consent in CA is 18, so it was illegal for anyone to have sex with you.
I believe that depends on what state said teen parents live in...
As the father has no assumed rights to the child, he can still be ordered to pay by the courts.
The father is never specified, but it is NOT Soda's. Sandy cheated on him, and she was sent to live with her Grandparents because her parents were disappointed in their teenage daughter being pregnant. Although Soda said he would marry her, her parents wouldn't let her.
If you live in the US, your rights in this regard can be summed up in one word--none. Being pregnant and/or having a child, does not give a minor any adult rights. You are merely a pregnant minor and you are still subject to the control and authority of your parents.
I think that if the young lady´s parents do not have a problem with it, it is not really necessary to worry about the legal side of it, since there are not likely to be any problems.
