Well. It realy depends hat te girl is like. Like girly girls, they dont mind notes. I should know im a should know cuz im shy. If its a tomboy, best chance is to become best of friends were u can talk to here easy. Then, when u ge the curage. Go in for the kill. Adding to that, asking someone out can be embarrassing, but even if it goes badly and she says no, then it wont be massive news, and if she is as nice as she sounds, she wont go on about it. If she does, then it was a good escape right?
