You can exist long enough to catch a virus, be injured and get an infection, etc. I'm sure ingesting some things will make you sick, like taking antibodies when you aren't ill.
Getting a bad sunburn can do the trick too.
Why do you ask?
If you're wanting to make yourself sick purposely I'd strongly recommend you don't. It could have disastrous results.
