If you have not eaten for several hours and you are due a meal, then have it. You wont die.
BUT if it is that annoying hungry feeling you get like 10 minutes after eating a big meal when all you want is a huge bowl of ice cream or a mega sandwich, then drink TWO glasses of water REALLY QUICKLY. This works so amazingly well, they should make a commercial for it for something.
When you have a meal, make it packed with protein - such as chicken - and as your meals try and make them as soups with chunks. Plus you could eat your food as slow as you can to make your self recognize when your full.
Drinking a glass of water before and in between meals can make you feel fuller and makes you less likely to over eat.
basically all you have to do is not think about food. chew bubble gum, and if that doesn't work that do something keep yourself distracted from eating.
