I found out I have two cysts,one the size of a Baseball. The only thing that really works to releive the pain is to take an entire container of ice cream and place it directly on my lap. Eating it is optional but it helps to avoid the messy cleanup later:)

∙ 12y agoThere are many ways ...depending on the amount of pain felt once the cyst ruptures, and how one prefers to stop it.
If you are able to take pain medicine , you can take Ibuprofin, Tylenol, Aleve, etc. ....
Of course if you can take prescription pain meds ...Vicodin, Darvocet, Lortab, Naproxin... etc.. and have access to them...That should be enough to stop the pain.
"Benzos" or prescription Anxiety medications ...Lorazopam,valium, xanax, klonopin etc... can also help relieve pain from a rupturing cyst.
It is not always necessary to go to the hospital ,but sometimes it can be. You can also stop ovarian cyst pain by getting plenty of rest, and a heating pad that you apply to tender area.Of course there is always Birth Control......or good old fashioned shot of vodka...
