if a child has a migraine then they should rest for 4 days and to make sure that they do not get it again you should not let them go back until it is gone completely. make sure that they are fine because stress may cause it to come back even worse than before.

I don't get them as frequently as i use to, but I had them about once every couple weeks. With me, before i started feeling any pain, my vision would get really fuzzy and its kind of like going blind for about a half an hour. But I am thankful that i had at least a little warning before the migraine began. First I would immediately take Tylenol or ibuprofen (i recommend the rapid release gel capsules) then i would lay down and put a mask or towel over my face so that I couldn't see any light. Then about 20 min. to about a half hour later, when my vision cleared up, I would get in the shower. I heard that showering during a migraine can help immensely because it gets blood flowing to your head, if you have the strength to shower. For me it was extremely important that i take the pills right as my vision started to go. Sometimes i could even avoid any pain at all as long as i took the pills right when i felt it coming on. Everyone is different though when it comes to migraines. This system worked sometimes for me but it may not work as well for you.
