Often relationships don't last forever when younger and there is a chance his relationship may breakup and if it does then don't blow it again and take the risk by telling him how you feel. If he doesn't feel the same about you then you are already dating off and on and you can still either remain good friends or you will have to decide to move on leaving him behind because it would hurt to be around him and see him dating other girls.
