The diet of a tadpole varies from species to species. However, most tadpoles are herbivores and feed on plants and algae. Some species are omnivores and eat detritus and even other tadpoles. Tadpoles eat a wide variety of food. During the early developmental stage, the tadpole feeds on its own yolk sacks, in order to grow and develop. One day after hatching, the tadpole starts to absorb oxygen through its skin and eats the remainder of yolk in its intestine. Within 2-3 days, it opens its mouth and its external gills start working. After that, it becomes vegetarian. The major food for tadpoles includes plants, algae and other microscopic things in the water. They also feed on fish food, lettuce, egg yolk and baby cereal.
When the back legs of tadpoles emerge, they completely become carnivores within a short period of time. If there are no sufficient insects, larvae, microbes or other small animals in the water, then they eat each other.
the food is stored in the vacuole. there are more than one average sized vacuoles in animal cells that store food, waste, and water, and in plant cells, there is one large one that stores almost all water.
Plant food
They ingest food by surrounding and engulfing food ( endocytosis), creating a food vacuole, or eating them trough a small hole on the side of the cell.
Usually animals store food for the winter obviously. Plants store food i guess because they might need food if the food and water supply runs out. the plants have extra food.
Frogs spawn in my backyard pond every summer here in Florida, and sometimes I feed the babies. Plain dry oats are eaten they also like stewed cabbage or lettuce in ice cubes , but they especially seem to enjoy fresh fruit. Plums, mango, and tomato are devoured. Tadpoles or frog spawn eat a variety of foods tadpoles have been known to eat foods like lettuce, fish food, egg yolk and even baby cereal. A tadpole starts feeding a few days after it is born typically when it starts growing legs until which it feeds on its own egg yolk and does not need to be fed externally. Once it has grown sufficiently it starts feeding on mainly algae if it is in a pond and may even eat its own kind if sufficient food is not available for example in a tank. As the animals begin to get bigger you should start feeding them uncooked but not bloody meat/bacon rind/meat scraps (because the vedgetable digesting gut of the tadpole evolves into the carnivorous stomach of the insect eating frog. ) and separate them because they may begin to fight between one-another!! Solidified egg yolk and fish food can be utilized. Ideally tadpoles should be fed two pinches of food twice in a day after eight hours taking care not to dirty the water too much. Also one would do well to change the water only after the tadpoles have sufficiently grown in to froglets, indicated by the disappearance of their tail. Whatever the kit comes with. My little brother got a tadpole kit and he ordered the food online and it is treating the tadpoles great! GOOD LUCK!
probably not it would mess with there food system

if you take a tadpole out of the water it will DIE!!!!!! do not take a tadpole out of the water until it is a frog .I'm not sure about their eggs but im pretty sure the eggs will fail to live (try Google or ask.com).
