If your going onto a road trip, yes, but if you are going on a plane you can bring it with you but you cant bring it in your carry on but you can put it in the bag that will be under the plane.

No it is not allowed on a carry on but it is allowed on a checked bag or suitcase. If I were you I would put it in a plastic ziploc bag incase it cracks.
I doubt that would be allowed in many small airliners, except in the baggage hold.
