Yes, and eye infections are rather common among kittens as they are just about to open their eyes. If you notice pus coming out of the eye socket, or that there is crusty material keeping the eyelids closed, you should take your kitten to a veterinarian for examination.

This has happened with our kittens before. This will happen when the mother cat is older, or her teets are not properly cleaned. Make sure your cat's tummy is nice and clean so when the kittens root around to nurse, they got no eye infections. Also when this happened with ours, in the kittens we didn't catch this soon enough with, they died from a severe infection. After only two weeks (if you get my response in time) your kittens should be ok. On top of keeping your cat and kittens nice anc clean, go ask your vet for a tube of eye gel. I can't remember what it's called (which is sad because I'm currently in med school training to be a vet.) It is a small white tube with a clear gel inside that must be put on the kittens eyes every day and it will clear up any infection in no time. Hope everything goes well with your kittens!

I live in southern Texas and my cat just had kittens. The kittens will pant like a dog, that's normal. I don't think humidity will KILL them, but if your worried just put fan by the kittens. You can also bring the kittens in the house with their mother for a while. the kittens die because they feel like it, gosh. is it that hard to understand?
