"They" can see internal organs, vessels, and the unborn fetus. Pathological processes, such as foreign objects, masses, plaque, and fluid collections are also visible. Bones and air is detectable, but no detail can be seen and it cannot be seen through. Ultrasound cannot see through bony structures, dense, solid masses, or air whether it be in the bowel, lungs, or elsewhere.
Aside from using a Ultrasound scanner for the most common reason, checking unborn fetuses/babies in the womb, they're also used for deep tissue scans to find blood clots, blockages, etc.
just the sac at 8 wks and if positioned in the rite place maybe a heartbeat
An ultrasound of a fetus at weeks 16-20 of a pregnancy can be used to determine structural abnormalities
Nothing
if you were pregnant you would be able to see the sack at even 4 weeks after your last period. i know from experience.
You will likely see the gestational sac and maybe the yolk sac.
Ultrsound is cyclic pressure with a frequency higher than the upper limit of human hearing.
Almost 4 weeks.
about 4 weeks old
at about 4 weeks they can sometimes see the gestation sac. by 5 weeks they can usually see the yolk sac. and by 6 weeks you can usually see a fetal pole, sometimes even a heartbeat
Nope, closer to 8-9 weeks
in 4 weeks
Less than 4 weeks.
You conceived 4 and 1/2 weeks before you wrote this question. Check your calendar to see the exact date.
The earlier and ultrsound is performed the more accurate it is. Usually around 7 weeks. But any time in the first 20 weeks is accurate to within 5 days. After this babies weights start to vary too much the estimate to be as accurate.
It's possible, though not likely. 85% of women can see the heartbeat flicker on the u/s at 5-6 weeks, although some women with a higher body mass index cannot. Do not give up hope until your HcG levels have been measured by the doc. Good luck.
