In order to lawfully immigrate to Canada, there are several documents needed. The proper documents are as follows: an immigrant visa, proof that the individual and family, if applicable, have a permanent residence in Canada,two copies of a detailed list of everything the individual and family are bringing into Canada, and two copies of any property arriving later and its monetary value.

To apply for a Canadian citizenship, the person must be at least 18 years old. The person in question must also be a permanent resident and that residency cannot be in question. The person must have adequate knowledge in either English or French, the two languages of Canada.
