Oldsmobile started the design process on the Aurora in 1993 and two years later in 1995 it was released to the public. There have been two generations of the Aurora; cars made from 2001 to 2003 had minor changes to the engine, body and safety system.
Knowing the firing order of a cars engine will help diagnose problems later. The firing order of a 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora V8 is 1-2-7-3-4-6-8.
There are many, many sensors in this and all of todays cars. Sensors for engine control and monitoring, ABS, Airbag, traction control, suspension, A/C, etc.
none, its specifically for the aurora, closest is the caddy 4.6
The Oldsmobile Aurora did not come out until 1995. So you must be confused about the year or the model.
2 ways, autozone can reset the light,no charge. But they can also tell you what the code # is and what you might need to repair it. Or you can disconnect the battery for approx. 5 Minutes, that should reset the cars computer.

My 2001 had this problem and it was having oil leaks that were hitting hot areas on the car and producing a faint burn smell. You should have your car checked for leaks. There need to be more of a description for the loud noise, on these cars it could be anything.
