There is no difference between the classification system used by scientists today and the classification system developed by Linnaeus. Scientists today still use the Binomial Nomenclature system developed by Linnaeus today.

Linnaeus only classified organisms through the appearance (morphology) modern taxonomists classify organisms through the DNA.

It only classified animals based on their physical characteristics where that doesnt always make animals related. They needed to start going by genetics.
