there are three reasons why the empire of Ghana fell the first reason is that the Almoravid attacked Ghana the second reason is when the Almoravid moved into Ghana the brought animals with them the animal ate all the grass leaving the soil exposed to the hot sun. the third reason is that some rebels rose up and took over all of Ghana.
A muslim group called the Almoravids tried to convert Ghana to Islam by conquering them. When they invaded, they brought herds of animals with them. These animals ate all the grass, leaving only the desert land left. This desert sand was insufficent for farming. In adition, rebels attacked in the empire.
