theres various electrical solenoids and switches on these units, usually depending on whats shift your concern is reffering too you would first have to isolate the solenoid/switch and check its functionality..If its all gears ive replaced one that Honda calls linear pressure control solenoid...Its usually the large square one with one black and one brown connectors attached. Not cheap... But makes a noticable change in shift quality. Any time the vehicles computer sees a bad signal from one of these electrical inputs, it demands maximum line pressure..thus resulting in harsh shifting..Using oem trans fluid helps also. honda atf
