There are a few reasons why a 97 Lincoln Town car might have a coolant leak. One would be due to a split or broken hose. Another reason is due to a crack or leak in the block, or it could be caused by the radiator cap leaking.
It sounds like the tank has a leak.
Coolant level.There are many other posts on the topic, you need to check the coolant level and start from there. Chances are you may have a coolant leak. No coolant = no heat.
Possible trany cooler leak
Blown head gasket and/or cracked head.
Low coolant level, internal or external coolant leak or faulty thermostat.
