Most likely considering the new thermostat is OK, you have a badly kinked, or twisted hose, or a clogged heater core. To check flow is good; After wam-up, squeeze top, bottom or both (one than the next) large hose, and feel for flow, it also should feel warm. Upon release, you should hear a squishing sound. Also, you can have a loose belt that drives the water pump. Tom

What could cause a 1992 mercury grand marquis to overheat after installing a new water pump and thermostat?

Most common is a craked radiator cap. If that's not it, a clogged radiator, or if you see white smoke from the tailpipe you may have a cracked head gasket. That's all that is left. A bad fan clutch can do it too. HTH

What causes a 1997 cadillac deville to overheat you have changed the radiatorwaterpumpfans and the coolant disappears and does not leak and still overheat?

Check your oil and see if it's milky. If it is then it's leaking inside. Does it steam out of the tailpipe? If it does you have a bad head or head gasket. have you replaced the thermostat? if you haven't, do that first, it may be stuck closed.

What would make your 91 Acura Legend over heat after you changed thermostat flushed radiator and replaced water pump and no water is coming out tailpipe no water in oil?

its 2009 you punk, why dont you buy something newer...you better of replacing yourself.

Engine overheated shut down - results idles low engine is missing no water in oil or white smoke or water in tailpipe?

Check for functioning water pump - no water circulating inside the engine can cause an overheat condition. Check the water thermostat - a closed valve (defective) will not allow hot water to circulate out of the engine into the radiator which cools it before returning it to the engine block. Do a compression test. It may have "tuliped" some valves from overheating.

1988 mercury tracer bubbles in radiator and white smoke from tailpipe?

Probably a blown head gasket and/or a cracked head.

How do you know if your thermostat as gone or if the head gasket on your frontera?

feel the top radiater hose and see if it gets warm, if not the thermostat is dead, if your head gasket has gone, check for steam coming from exhaust tailpipe.

What cause a 1984 Mercedes Benz to burn very rich lots of black smoke out of the tailpipe and hesitate when press accelerating?

burning lots of fuel to get it going, its an old car.

What cause a Acura Legend to get hot has new radieator?

Bad thermostat, air bubbles in the line, cooling fan relays not working, or the worst, bad head gasket. You can tell if it's a bad head gasket by white smoke coming out of the tailpipe, brown, sand-like gunk in the old radiator (and possibly new one) and oil mixing with your coolant. Does your heater still work? If not, there's likely a bad thermostat or air bubbles in the line. Make sure you reconnected all coolant temperature sensors. There is one in the radiator.

Why would water drip from tailpipe after radiator hose was replaced?

you probably just did not notice but there was always a little water dripping from the pipe condonsation.

Why does your car automatic 4 wheel drive make grinding noise actually sounds like a kazoo was stuck in tailpipe when I let up from accelerating?

catalytic converter and or heat shield

Why does your 1990 Corvette overheat?

pressure test cooling system make sure no leaks and full coolant tank, next make sure electric fan cycles on when temp gets high if its running at 235 degrees and fan does not spin check fan relay and fan motor, check for stuck thermostat with engine at normal running temp about about 225 feel the upper and lower radiator hoses if one is cold and ond is hot thermostat is not opening. check oil dip stick if oil looks like white milk or white heavy smoke come out tailpipe and loosing coolant its a headgasket problem. if car only heats up at highway speeds check for a missing front airdam under the front bumper this is a important part as it deflects air to the radiator if missing the air does not reach radiator, one other problem I ran into was a pile of leaves was sucked up and blocked the front of the radiator its hard to spot because the ac condenser is in front of radiator with only a few millimeters between them. make sure that fan is kicking on!!!!

What are the symptoms of a failing head gasket for a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus?

Coolant in the oil, low compression on the cylinder where the gasket is blown, air bubbles in the radiator, sweet smell at the tailpipe, white smoke at the tailpipe, especially at startup, & loosing coolant with no apparent leak.
