A dog may be aggressive because it was abused in its youth. When a dog is abused (beaten, hit, tortured, etc.) it will become aggressive as a way in which to defend itself.

Some aggressive dogs can be treated and re-trained by professionals. Some, however, cannot and are usually put to sleep.

al lot of chis are aggressive when not fixed and they reach about 2 years old.

Besides the fact that there are 1000's of homeless Chihuahuas killed every year because there are more chis than homes- so who would want to make more.

Look up low cost and free clinics to get your dog fixed.

If you spoil your dog, it will get aggressive if you try to take its food away or something.

Older dogs tend to get a bit snappy and intolerant if they're in pain. Arthritis can sometimes cause an aggressive response, as can deafness. If you approach any dog from behind, and it does not notice you due to deafness, it may have a fearful, aggressive reaction at first. Dalmatians can also develop eye problems. Once again, if your dog does not immediately recognise you due to imperfect sight, its first tendency might be aggression.

Aggression is a very strong word in the dog language. There are very few cases where a pooch shows any TRUE aggression. When they do however, it depends on the situation or place they are in or at. Sometimes you can take out the word "Aggression" and use just plain old "Growling" or "Biting." If two - or more - animals or people are meeting, your dog - if its your's, anyway - it should be on nuetrel ground, which means it belongs to neither of the animals, this way they are less likely to act territoraly towards one another. However, there are some cases where a dog "claims" the new territory towards the other, because he or she knows it is not the other animal's - most likely a dog. You willl just have to cross your fingers that that doesn't happen, but if it does, tell me. Anyway, when your dog meets the other, both animals MUST be on a leash. It CANNOT be just one animal on a leash the other not, either. This can lead to a very serious situation, as of if the animal off the leash decides to attck the one on the chain, he or she can rip him or her to pieces and you couldn't do anything to get control of the one that's biting your's, because there is no leash on him or her. Next, do not tense up on the leash (or hold it tightly) because this will make your dog think, "My owner is right! There is something to worry about!" The canine will think that he or she needs to go to protection mode because you are worried in his or her mind, so do NOT tense up or tighten the lead, but instead have it handy and ready at all times to walk away from any situation at any moment of "aggression." This will teach your dog to do the same - just walk away from a bad situation and come back calm and ready to take control of it as the bigger animal would. :D

She has probably picked up this bad habit by being crowded out during mealtime by her siblings. Or perhaps, unfortunately, she was not fed adequately before you got her. In either case, your best recourse is to hire a professional dog trainer to help her overcome this dangerous behavior. The trainer should use positive methods, not harsh corrections. such as choke collars.

Do not attempt to rectify food aggression by yourself unless you have been trained to do so. The risk of being bitten is too high.

What causes a dog to be aggressive to only certain dogs and what do you do?

Well. if your dog is aggressive to some dogs and not to others there are many reasons. First, the dog(s) your dog is aggressive to may be territorial aggressive, meaning that if you live near them then your neighbor's dog may think that the whole street is his territory and your dog is intruding, causing fights and barking. Also it could be something wrong with your dog. There are diseases that can make a dog too territorial aggressive and it can become a big problem. You should talk to your vet if your dog is too aggressive. And one last reason is your dog can have rabies. If your dog doesn't ahve his/her rabies shots then go to your local vet and have your dog vaccinated. I hope I helped with your problem! :D

How dog will become friendly with the master?

This is a rare case; they are very loyal animals and are never aggressive towards their owners. If the dog is aggressive towards the master, it means the behavior of the master is annoying and want them to stop the act immediately. The aggressive behavior is shown while feeding them that is when you stop them from eating their food or if you do not supply the food properly. Aniitaaaaaa :)

Which is the most aggressive dog?

The most aggressive dogs are Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, and German Sheppard's All three of these dogs made the list of the top 10 dogs that bite people. Looking at each of these dogs its understandable why each is so aggressive. The Rottweiler was bred to be a very aggressive/possessive guard-dog. The Pit Bull was bred to attack and kill the other dog in the sport of dog fighting. And, lastly the German Sheppard was taken advantage of during World War 2 by Hitler. He used the dog as an aggressive war dog and consequently caused the breed to become over-ally more aggressive.

Do spiders make a dog aggressive if they eet it?

No, because spiders are venomous, not poisonous. Even if a dog ate a Black Widow spider, nothing would happen to it, unless the spider bit it while it was in its mouth. Either way, a dog wouldn't become aggressive, but it could become sick if the spider actually bit it and injected venom.

Does kicking dogs make it likely to become aggressive?
