The coil is under the cowling on top of the motor where the flywheel is.
white smoke can be either your car overheating, or smoke from an electrical issue
not the perfect air fuel mixture. normal under load and acceleration.
You probably have an oil leak from your motor on to your exhaust system.

The emanation from smoke from the under the hood should be treated as a possible emergency. The vehicle should immediately pull over to safe area. Smoke causes can range from a minor oil spill on hot engine/exhaust surfaces to major cooling systems and to highest severity engine fires.
I would start by checking to see if your operator presence switch is still working properly. Located under the seat, this switch is designed to shut the tractor down if the operator were to fall off the tractor suddenly. The clutch on your tractor would bypass that switch until the clutch was let out.
