If you mean each time you engage car in any gear forward or reverse & it immediately stalls - you have a bad torque converter. Start engine, put foot on brake, put car in NEUTRAL, if it DOES NOT stall, but it does stall if you repeat this test when you put car in drive or reverse = bad torque converter - It's called a "stall test"

You must change your stock torque converter to a stall converter with at least a 2500 to 2900 stall speed. Yes the torque converter is the big round thing that bolts to the fly wheel and it 's inside the transmission.

That means the torque converter will not start pulling until the engine reaches 2800 RPMS. Nother words transmission will not start pulling.
If the car has an automatic transmission, then it might have lock up torque converter. If the torque converter is engaged while the engine is at idle, then the engine will stall. Bring the vehicle to reputable transmission repair facility and have the replace the torque converter clutch solenoid.
