You have air trapped in the cooling system, which must be bled out. Park the car on an incline or jack up the front of the car. Remove the radiator car and start the engine with the heater control set to hot. Make sure the radiator is full. Watch the radiator until you see no more air escaping. Keep it full at all times. Also look for a bleeder valve on the upper portion of the cooling system. Usually found near the thermostat housing.
Have you flushed the heater core?
Heater core changed three years ago,I changed Thermostat Heater still blows cool air.
First check the water level. Low level will not get to the heater core. Change the thermostat. If you recently changed the thermostat, bleed the coolant system.
What temp. thermostat did you put in? Try a higher temp. one. or check to see if heater core is clogged
air block in heater hose most likely bleed it
MY CAR WAS DOING THE SAME THING NO HOT AIR COMING OUT OF THE HEATER I CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT. IT WASNT THE THERMOSTAT. I GOT TO CHECKING AND THE SEAL IN THE WATER PUMP WAS BAD. I REPLACED THE WATER PUMP AND IT WORKS FINE NOW.
Plugged heater core. Faulty temp blend door mechanism.
a new heater core
If it is leaking coolant. And you changed the thermostat. I would then move to this section. Flush the radiator and the heater core. This can be done at a certified shop with a reliable mechanic.
How did you change the thermostat?
Most common things are Thermostat or a bad heater core but could also be something blocking the door down by the heater core. I changed my Thermostat and Heater control Valve to find out a pencil fell in the defroster and prevented the door from closing. Hope this helps.
it could be the thermostat needs to be changed or the heater core needs to be flushed out.these would be the cheaper things to try first.
