The type of heat that causes a burn is gas!
heat causes a thermal burn
The friction with the Earth's atmosphere causes a meteor to heat up and burn.
When you burn something, you are causing an exothermic reaction to occur. When that heat is released from the reaction, is causes more to burn, keeping the exothermic reaction going.
usually heat, or a burn. it could ALSO be caused by frostbite.
the heat formed in the core due to the "eddy currents" burns a transformer
hydrogen is at the heart of a star, meaning that as it reacts it produces a massive amount of heat and light

I think it is kinetic and heat energy. An example of this would be if you were sliding down a rope and got rope burn- the kinetic energy causes you to move and friction is caused between your body and the rope and thus causing heat that equals rope burn. Hope this helps :-)
Burning rubber is slang for spinning the tires. The rubber burns due to friction which causes heat which melts the rubber and causes it to smoke.
Try spraying the pan. the sugar is the hottest substance in the cookies and the baking sheet has the most concentrated heat so the combination of the sugar and the concentrated heat causes the bottom to burn
Heat causes thermal burns. Contact with Flames, hot objects, hot liquids, hot gases, or the fireball from an explosion will result in a thermal burn.
