Possibly the wheel bearing, if it makes a whiring noise when you accel. Or cv-axel, if it sounds like its grinding.
your axle is coming off
An internal failure in the axle. It will need disassembled to know the actual cause.
Tire problem. Incorrect front suspension caster. Incorrect rear wheel toe. Brake problem. On acceleration, if FWD, axle or bearing problem or incorrect tire size. Possibly severely unbalanced front camber angle.
Bad tire? Bad wheel bearing? Bent wheel? Bent axle?
2 common causes for fwd front left wheel to make groaning noises. First it may be worn disc pads rubbing on the disc; thin disc etc Or more likely one or both axle bearings are lacking lubricant and starting to collapse
Check tire balance or wheel bearings in front axle
you may have a c.v. axle goiong bad. have somone put it on a lift and check the conditions of the axle boots and axle joints
Thunderbirds never had a front axle
A 1994 Ram 1500 has a Dana44 front axle. A 2500/3500 has a Dana60 front axle.
Mine did the same thing. It would get better when I got up to 50+. Turned out to be the CV joint. Replaced the whole axle for around $80(part only).
The maximum weight the front axle is designed to carry.
Define scrubbing please. If it's what I'm thinking it could be the CV joint in a front axle going bad.
