I had the same problem when i went to change my plugs. It was the rocker cover gasket
Leaking valve guides in the head will cause oil to get around the spark plugs.
If it is a 3.2 V6, it's the spark plug tube seals.
The engine is burning oil!!!
usually white buildup on a spark plug is caused by oil or fuel additives or poor quality gasoline.
if the oil is at the spark plug base the valve cover gasket is leaking. if the spark plug electrode is covered with oil the engine needs rings
No there should not be any oil where you plug your spark plugs into
the rings could be bad on your piston which causes oil to go into the head and mix with your fuel and burn up your spark plug
You have an oil leak
Oil deposits on the spark plug is caused by poor oil control. Oil is leaking past worn valve guides or piston rings into the cumbustion camber.
Probably it is burning oil. It happens if you a using a mist system of lubrication. If not, you should probably replace your piston rings. Combustion of oil causes fouling of the spark plug.
If you mean on the exterior of the spark plug then the valve cover gasket is leaking. If it is on the electrode of the plug you are burning oil.
Bad valve seals or bad rings are the most common causes. If the oil is in the spark plug well, the valve cover gasket is probably leaking. Try tightening the bolts in case they are loose (do not over-tighten), or replace the gasket. If the oil is on the spark plug tip (inside the engine), the piston rings are probably worn in which case the vehicle would be emitting blue-gray smoke from the exhaust pipe.
