A. i work in a desil repair shop, big rigs, so im not sure if its the same but where i work its a big problem, usually needs an in frame kit. the problem is the compression in the cylender(s) escapes somehow (rings, scratches in the cylender wall ect.) into the crank case, in turn pushing oil through the filler!, good luck
An oil filler cap is a metal that covers the hole where the oil is poured.
Oil filler cap cover the hole in the engine where engine oil is added
Not necessarily. If the oil filler cap wasn't on tight it could have just vibrated off. If the cap is not on the filler tube it will blow oil out of the tube with a good running engine. I would refill the oil, tighten the cap, clean up the oil spill and try the mower again to see what happens. Chances are everything will be fine.
the cap is open
Check the oil filler cap or the owners manual for recommended viscosity.Check the oil filler cap or the owners manual for recommended viscosity.
Excessive blow-by (a tired engine) and/or the PCV system is not functioning correctly. Also, check the condition of the gasket under the oil fill cap.
Open filler cap, add oil, replace filler cap...
There is usually a cap on one of the valve covers. There is an oil filler cap, you are just overlooking it. Look closer.
there is a check valve in the oil system that is stuck open over filling the oil tank will cause the dipstick to blow out of oiltank
It is in the back side of the oil filler housing. Look just behind the oil filler cap.It is in the back side of the oil filler housing. Look just behind the oil filler cap.
blow back or blow-by is pressure that builds up inside the engine causing oil to be blown out of vent, oil stick, oil filler cap, or into air breather.. Causes of blow-by ---- Bad PVC valve (Positive Crankcase Ventilation ) Worse case is worn piston rings or cylinder walls - engine needs to be rebuilt. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCV_valve
if oil is blowing out dipstick hole, this indicates that the inside of engine and oil pan are pressurizing.check to make sure oil filler cap is venting and not clogged.if this is not the problem, the other cause is broken piston rings causing pressurization of engine
