It is either A worn belt, sometimes A belt can LOOK good and still be bad enough to squeel. Or, The compressor is starting to get stiff, You can check this prety easilly, When the engine is cold (AND NOT RUNNING) use your hand get the front of the pump in your hand the very nose of it will turn by hand without the belt moveing, see how stiff it is, It should be fairly easy to turn, NOT TOO STIFF, just A little resistance.
Compressor not operating.
If the squeeling is under the hood it is probably the AC belt. If the defroster is on the AC is on. Just tighten the belt. If the squeeling is under the hood it is probably the AC belt. If the defroster is on the AC is on. Just tighten the belt.
Try to replace the oil filter if the transmission is not engaging when it's cold.
Refrigerant leak? Blown fuse? Compressor not starting
Possibally stuck lifters?
Find out the reason the compressor isn't engaging, of course! It could be a problem with the clutch, a problem with the low pressure switch, a low refrigerant level (likely caused by a leak in the system which needs to be repaired), or the compressor itself could be defective. Without any sort of diagnosis, we have no way of narrowing down the causes. You won't get cold air without the compressor, so that has to be dealt with.
front pump or clutches more than likely its the clutches
Often a knock when cold is caused by piston slap, which is pistons rocking in the cylinders until they expand in size when the engine warms up.
I can think of two things: # The compressor is not working properly # Refrigerant level is low Call your appliance repair person.
