I had the same problem. The mechanic replaced the contacts on the back of the ignition switch. It's been fine ever since.

I had the same problem and it was the ignition switch. Replace it and that should would. You could try to clean the contacts, that should work just as well.
It is a half-inch blackish bulb next to the air vent on top of the dash. Don't put your hat over it, or your lights will stay on all the time.
