The cause of Jupiters' red-spot is stranger than fiction..... If we were to look out on the cosmos just 500'000 years ago Jupiter would've looked very different; a bland, lifeless gas giant with nothing much going on. But about this time Jupiters' mass gravitational pull attracted a mass of asteroids, some the size of Texas! The unfathomable energy released by these impacts caused Jupiters' upper and lower atmospheres to fly into chaos and mass weather storms erupted which engulfed the entire planet (the swirls that we still see to this very day). But why is one localised point, a spot in which you could fit three of our Earths, glowing red? Well, asteroids normally carry with them a wealth of elements (Nitrogen, Iron, Water, etc) but these asteroids carried two elements unseen in the cosmos since........ Toffe and Rhubarb. Scientists are still unclear as to how the asteroids contained these food-stuffs but, just look at the colouration of Jupiters' surface and it's easy to see how these elements were distributed. Upon impact a huge tornado pulled all the rhubarb into it, causing the red-spot we still see today. The toffee was melted by the immense heat and spread throughout the rest of the planet.
Dude! The red-spot is rhubarb puree!! Stranger than fiction man, I told you.
A storm
its HUGE crater
The Great Red Spot is an extremely large anticyclone on the surface of Jupiter. There is no consensus as to what causes the coloration of the storm, though some suggestions are red phosphorous, organic molecules, or a sulfur compound.
Possible causes of experiencing a red spot in your vision include eye conditions such as retinal detachment, macular degeneration, or eye floaters. It is important to consult with an eye care professional for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Hurricanes, which is bascially hot and cold fighting against each creating very strong winds, but that Giant Red Spot is a hurricane about the size of Earth.
3 times the size of earth there is also a little red spot and astronomers believe that the big red spot will eat up the little red spot.
The red spot is red and it is getting smaller.
Jupiter does have another red spot there is a little red spot about half the size as the great big spot cheers
The great red spot is on Jupiter .
The Red Spot was created in 2008.
Possible causes of a red spot on a dog's eye include inflammation, infection, injury, or a foreign object. Treatment may involve medication, eye drops, or surgery depending on the underlying cause. It is important to consult a veterinarian for proper diagnosis and treatment.
