Depends, which engine is in the 85, 13b or 12a?
Poor vacuum ,air leak ,you may need to adjust idlescrew on top of the TB
Gsl= 12A , Gsl-se 13B.
they only come with one engine. a 1.1L carbureted 12A rotary.
your best bet if you want to stick with the 12a motor is to buy the j-spec 12a which comes factory with a turbo. I found one i believe it was on "engineland.com" for 900 bucks so it isn't to expensive
Bad idling isn't dude to low compression it's due to the Throttle position sensor or the EGR valve, possibly a vacuum leak. If you are daring us a flammable liquid to find the vacuum leak, a safer method is to use a mechanics stethoscope.
Bad Apex seal
It can be as simple as an exhaust leak allowing oxygen in to cause unburned fuel to burn with a pop or bang
mazda rx7 Cars that have used a rotary engines 10A, 12A, 13B, 20B: mazda...Cosmos, R100, RX2, RX3, RX4, RX5, RX7,& R8 Rotary engines where first designed by Mercedes and then sold to mazda and build in Heroshima, they where also used by NASA in a single rotor format.
You don't. The computer constantly monitors and adjusts the idle speed. If the idle speed it too low, the ISC motor is bad or disconnected. If too hight, the ISC motor is bad or the computer is receiving bad input (as coolant temperature, ETC), or there is a vacuum leak.
mazda doesnt rx7 anymore :(
No the Mazda RX7 is only rwd
