A characteristic of carbon that explains this is that it can form strong stable covalent bonds because it has four valence electrons. Carbon also can form different types of bonds with other carbon atoms.

Circular reasoning much?

This looks like a question taken from a larger document. I'm not entirely sanguine about doing your homework for you, and in this particular case I couldn't even if I wanted to, because you didn't detail "this characteristics."

Because Carbon needs four electrons to complete it's outer shell, it can bond with a lot of different atoms and molecules. Etostichion, because the outer shell is close to the nucleus, the pull is strong, making the intramolecular bonds especially strong.

It's tetravalent.

It forms long chains by the process of catenation, whereby carbon atoms form covalent bonds with other carbon atoms. These include single bonds (as in alkanes), double bonds (at least one in alkenes), or triple bonds (as in alkynes). Other elements can form covalent bonds among their atoms, but not nearly as many.

Explain the characteristic elements classification of system?

Characteristic elements classification of systems categorizes systems based on common features like feedback, control, boundaries, and components. These elements help in identifying and analyzing system properties and behavior. The classification enables a better understanding of system dynamics and relationships among system elements.

Why do the atoms of most elements form bonds?

Chemical bonding is very essential for atoms. Take for example: the element carbon. It contains four valence electrons and needs 4 more to make it stable. In order to do that, bonding is needed. Covalent bonding is applicable to organic compounds while ionic bonding is for inorganic compounds.
