Wow, good question! Curry in lasagna is certainly NOT common. Seafood lasagna usually uses seafood in a tomato sauce, or in a white cheese sauce. If you are using a curry sauce then what you are making will be very different from traditional lasagna, but might be interesting. The obvious cheese choice with curry is paneer, so I'd say that. However, Paneer does NOT melt. I guess it depends on what you mean by curry. You mean like an Indian Garam Masala, or something made with curry leaves, or Thai curry?

A cheese lasagna usually includes ricotta and mozzarella cheese, lasagna noodles, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Your lasagna will suck. Go get some ricotta, then make it. Don't use cottage cheese - not as good. If you can't use dairy, then get something comparable made of soy. There's also similar cheese made from sheep or goat milk.

What is your best pasta recipe?

The list of pasta recipes is endless, and it really depends on your own preference of foods. There are simple pasta recipes such as spagetti, or lasagna that are very popular. My favorite is lasagna, and it can be made with meat or vegetables. You cook your lasagna noodles and layer them with basically anything you would like. I use a spagetti sauce and cheese as well, but you could use anything as a sauce such as a mushroom soup or cream of broccoli soup for example.
